Dude...that thing is GEORGOUS! I do miss my Gretsch pickups from time to time too! 
Maybe I'll have to get a set of them to throw in my Warmoth L5S hollow body too!

GFS Retrotrons.
We originally were going to use these as "placeholders" until we could afford the real deal TV Jones Filtertrons, but dude... these GFS sound great.
The specs are right. Super low output in the 5's, 42AWG wire, alnico II mags. Figured we'd take a shot at them, considering the whole set is $80. But I'm just amazed at how good they really sound. They're staying in there for sure.
