First, for the Green, I've gotta say that I've been wanting one of these for years! This color doesnt come up often. This is an 1989-1990 MIJ Yngwie Malmsteen Fender Stratocaster. I plan on putting the Fury set of YJM pickups in it for sure. The pickups that are in it sound good, just not enough output for my taste.
These differ from the US Made Yngwie models in several ways.
2 string trees instead of 1
Not as deep of a scallop on the frets
Gotoh tuners instead of Fender
Plastic nut instead of brass
3 bolt neck instead of 4
Non synchronized tremolo
Medium frets instead of jumbo
So in reality its not really quite like any of yngwies real guitars, just an attempt to make one in his vision. Its still a fantastic looking, and playing guitar, better than a lot of the US strats Ive played at the guitar stores these days.
And Vinatage White. Just came in today, 2015 model. The quality, fit & finish on this guitar is nothing short of amazing. The YJM pickups sound awesome and have some chunk. I only got to play for a few minutes before having to return to work.
I have another Yngwie guitar on the way as well
