Picked this up from a shop near my house today. It's made by a company called Clones of New York. Never heard of them until now. It's basically a Charvel clone. I'm digging the guitar though. Always wanted a replica of Warren DeMartini's snakeskin guitar from the Lay it Down video and this fits the bill nicely.

I thought I saw something like that f/s months ago on TGP. Looks great!

WANT!

If it only had a H/S set up. If you don't mind me asking, what are Clones going for? I have never heard of them.

That's built by our very own xssive her on RT. I had Clone #11 for awhile. Killer guitars

That's my old one bro. Haha. Yep it's a good guitar
Has the Duncan RTM rattus tonus Maximus in it

Love the guitar. Plays and sounds fantastic. It's faux snakeskin. I got it for $1100.

Badass! I'm slowly becoming of one pup trem Charvels. This one gets big points. HNGD man.

Congrats on the guitar! Anyone remember that Lynch guitar with the torn snakeskin on black? It was on the cover of some guitar mag. Coolest looking guitar ever!

Oh my god that looks badass!!! I'm really digging the 80's hard rock superstrat look at the moment. Something so cool about a single 'bucker and a maple board!

Wow, I haven't seen her in a long time. Thought it went MIA from the forums. I saw it pop up on the Splawn forums when guitarnate had it a few years back and that was it. That one came to life in what had to be 2006 or so as a custom order for a member of the Seymour Duncan forum using a body he supplied me since he found a guy to cover it in pseudo snake skin. It was one of the very early ones #C04 I think (C is custom order).

No more strathead Clones coming from me however D'Avanzo guitars are in the works and should be launching shortly. Super strats for sure since those are my personal favorites but also classic style S and T shapes and others all with my own specs, my own headstock shape and even my own body design for one of them. Been working on this for years. After I quit building the Clones I went to work for Mirabella guitars hand building and restoring archtops for a few years and now it's time to do my own thing again. It's been a whole to of work to get everything perfect to my absurdly OCD, picky, will not settle specs and I think we're finally there.

Yes man it's an awesome guitar and you definitely put that magic mojo in it brother. Glad to hear you're doing we'll and can't wait to see some of your new offerings!

Sweet! Well, I can assure you it's in good hands and will have a good home. I hoard gear like a hoarder hoards junk. I hardly ever get rid of anything. Lol! I've been on a little quest lately purchasing guitars of my heroes I had as a kid. I've wanted a guitar like this since I first saw the Lay it Down video when I was like 13 or something and just really started getting into the guitar. It's a great reproduction of it. I like this grayish version better than Warren's later brown version. It's crazy Charvel charges like 3 grand for his model now and it's just a paint job. Not even a faux snakeskin. Cool to hear the history behind where this one came from. It's an incredible guitar. Looks and sounds amazing. You do great work and I look forward to seeing your new guitar endeavor. Now time to brush up on my Warren DeMartini licks!

Very nice! Looks great! What pickup is in there? JB? RTM?
