Posted this on a few other forums so figured why not here lol. Got this guy the other day and this is now my second one. Both are Artist package options with flame maple necks and both are tone monsters!

And here's my first one I bought a few months ago

my God those are awesome! how much does a PRS like that cost?

I owned several PRS CE24s back in the day when PRS made good electrics. I always wondered why PRS refuses to make a good quality ebony fingerboard. The tone and feel of a ebony fingerboard is superior to anything else, especially over long playing sessions.

Also, back when I was a PRS consumer only a portion of the guitar was constructed via CNC. Now ALL PRS guitars are 100% constructed via CNC.

the core model floyd comes standard with an ebony board. Ebony can also be ordered on any of their guitars. I prefer maple over anything. PRS guitars aren't constructed via CNC,they are cut from a CNC and hand finished. As far as that goes, whys that matter since everyone uses a CNC these days

Nice, HNGD!! Def works of art, with tone!!,, That Bonnie Pink is hot as shit dude!!

The pink one kinda reminds me of my custom 22, although mine started out purple. The color has faded over the years.

Ebony fret boards only recently became an option on PRS guitars. All PRS guitars are constructed with CNC machines even up to fretting. Very little human construction is done on a standard PRS. I know several folks that work for PRS.

You say "everyone uses a CNC these days" to some degree this is true, but they all stand out as producing sub-par guitars.

Looks like enough hand work to me right here. So who isn't using CNC's to make their guitar bodies and necks these days lol. I like my PRS' just as much as any Suhr or Anderson I have played(which are also cut by CNC) Does't look like a machine did the frets in this video? Maybe you can elaborate

What does that even mean?

I think back to all the amazing recorded albums of all time and I can't think of more than a handful that had LPC's on them. Strange comment. Who'd of known they could have sounded so much better if the legends recording them would have just used ebony fretboards? :scared:
