New used guitar day! 2015 Les Paul special double cut with Kinman P90's, "Nasty" in the bridge and a Kinman "Bright Neck" in the neck. Got this sucker pretty cheap off ebay, the only minus was the shipping, ground, which to Hawaii equals almost 4 weeks of waiting as it sailed on a boat via USPS.

I got to take it for a quick spin before work and man was I blown the fuck away. My first guitar with P90s. Not sure how the Kinman pickups rank in the P90 world but damn this thing sounds heavy AF. It has this thickness that none of my humbucker guitars have but while still having some nice clarity and harmonics. I actually had to dial back the thump knob on my slax for the first time ever.

I already know this thing is going to be my new beater for quick recordings. Being a 2015 model it has that wide ass neck I've always heard about... I really like it. It also has those robotuners things... after messing with it a few minutes it already drove me nuts, so that will be the first to go. It has that weird metal zero nut thing too, not sure its an issue yet. But overall for a little over $645 with the OHSC I'm pretty happy.

Nice! I've always liked the LP DCs, especially in red. You're gonna love those P90s! I don't have any Kinmans myself, but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Clarity of a single coil with the girth of a humbucker and a mid growl all their own. Be warned... they're addictive... Congrats on a killer deal on a killer guitar (and surviving a killer wait)!!

Congrats, sounds pretty awesome. I have only played one Les Paul and realized they just aren't for me. Can't jive with those necks but obviously a lot of players do. For that price it seems like a killer deal.
