My tax refund check came in this past week...we all know what that means...New Gear Time!
I came across a pic of the new Trailer Trash flat boards recently and just had to get one. I love Rooster's boards anyway, but these flat boards are just SICK!
The soft case is also quite nice...definitely a huge improvement from the old soft cases they used in the past.
Spent all day (off and on) wiring up the board. I'm pretty proud of my work. I'm not a pro at it, but I think I did pretty decent. Can't wait to gig this board!
I'm running everything in front of the amp except for the M9, which is being utilized in a Wet/Dry fashion with the EH22Caliber providing the power.
The new riser option allows for hiding power supplies and, in this case, my line 6 G50 wireless unit. Also has a nice overhang for hiding cables.
Recently had fellow RTer Harris (hthomas) build me one of his pedals...The gold screamer...but in this case it's a green one. Awesome little 808 clone that fits nicely in-between my other OD's in terms of tonality. Harris is a great guy and obviously loves this stuff. Looking forward to hearing his amps that he is building this summer. I'll be doing a video review over this pedal in the next couple weeks. So be on the lookout.
Also got some new custom picks made. If any of you collect picks lmk and I'll send some out to you for your collection.
Clayton Custom is awesome for getting stuff out quick. These were ordered last Sunday night and were received on Thursday. Can't beat that!
The Apogee ONE was an impulse buy after trying one out at GC the other day. I didn't really need it, but man this thing is cool...and the on board mic sounds killer! This will be my little travel recording set up now. Very very pleased with this little unit. If you haven't checked these out yet you definitely should. Pete Thorn has a nice video demonstrating it's capabilities.
Lastly I picked up a used but mint condition Shure PSM 600 In Ear system. I got this thing for a super good deal thanks to a good pal. The unit is in perfect working condition and sounds phenomenal. The only downside is the limited number of channels, but I don't foresee any major issues with that.
Overall I've had a fun little week of new gear. Gotta love refund checks.
I'll probably be kicking myself later, but for now I'm enjoying my new toys.
Cheers!
