I'm going to go in order of most recent acquisition first:

So I went to GC last night and spotted something that looked cool and sounded great. The build quality and features had my shaking my head in disbelief that it was from 1979! So today I took my 1982 Ibanez Artist AR50 that I picked up 2 months ago that had a similar vibe and brought it to GC today hoping that they'd do an even swap and they did :)

This is MIJ just like the Ibanez I traded in was but the 5-piece neck and the translucent stain of the finish just grabbed me. It sounded better than that particular Ibanez too so hence the NGD.
Can you believe this guitar had push pull pots for coil tapping factory installed back in 1979! It is heavy like the Artist was and just as thick as an LP. Neck profile is 50's ish too.

This amp came in 10 days ago. I've had two Hughes & Kettners before, a Triamp MKII and a Switchblade. I regret selling the Triamp MKII so when I saw this H&K offered new at a great price I jumped on it...

And last but, most definitely not least--like I posted in Bob Savage's thread, I've been gassing for an LP since Dec. So 2 & 1/2 months of trying out various LP's, I ended up with this particular LPC...

The clean is nice as have all H&K's I've experienced been. The dirty is also nice. It happens to have a switchable built in boost as well as a 2nd volume and even a reverb channel balance control (you can put more towards the clean channel and less towards the dirty or vice versa if you wish) so this is definitely giggable!

I bought it without trying it out. I just sighted the neck to make sure it was good. I ended up with it from a guy who was going to trade it in towards a used PRS CU24. I untentionally made a side deal with him (the full scoop in in Bob Savage's LP thread). He got more than GC was giving him and I paid less than anyone would have been able to buy it from GC :)

congrats =0

the statesman is a quality amp, had one for almost 2 years, don't really know why i sold it to be fair, they're pretty cheap new as well, enjoy

Time the hit the weights ;) as these are officially my 2 heaviest guitars. The Gibson is 9 lb 15 oz and the Washburn is 9 lb 6 oz. The LP has no weight relief or chambering (neither does the Falcon) so I'd venture to say it's actually light when comparing it to other non weight relieved/chambered LP's. I had an '81 Ibanez Artist AR105 6 years ago with a beautiful burled walnut top that weighed over 11 lbs! I'll take 2 lbs lighter for the Falcon any day of the week!

I can't believe more people didn't jump on that Hughes & Kettner Statesman deal--it was the MF STOTD and was going for like $499. Almost picked one up myself.

Did you also have the EL34 model? What kind of music did you use it for?

If you're still looking for a H&K TriAmp MKII I've got one in great condition I'll sell you at a reasonable price! I'm going to be posting up here in a week or so.
