NGLD - New guitars and Lamborghini day.

I bought these two USA Charvel guitars from Ebay in a span of 5 minutes. The green Socal Charvel is like NOS and the seasick green is somewhat new beside the paint scratch beneath the Floyd Rose and the lower horn of the guitar. These blemishes was never disclosed by the seller from Ebay but I don't want to return it because they are rare and the tone from this guitar is huge. I bought the two guitars more as an impulse purchase rather than anything else.

nice guitars .... funny link I have is when I got my charvel the guy selling it had both those 2 guitars (not those ones specifically but the colour/style) and said I could pick which one I wanted, so I picked the green socal. Then he called my a few days later and said he couldn't part with it so would the seasick be ok...I said yeah.
It remains the only guitar I own that hasn't been modded (well apart from swapping the switch and vol pot around)

I have the candy green SoCal. I love that guitar. Tone Zone was replaced almost immediately on mine.

Congrats! Love the Seasick green, nearly grabbed one back when they launched, one of the best colors offered in the pro-mod line. I can imagine that with chrome hardware, would be killer!

I agree, I almost feel as if Charvel does this on purpose to force people into the higher priced custom shop axes. They know people swant chrome hardware and beige pickup rings.. why not just deliver the goods and sell a ton more?

Love the lambo, wonder if the intention of the thread wasn't actually the car over the guitars? If you can afford a lambo, you probably can afford more than assembly line japanese/mexican Charvels..

You got the right guitar. Out of my 8 USA Charvel guitars, the San Dimas seems to have the better tone. I don't know if the removal of the wood from the Socal and the Dimarzio pickups kill the tone a little bit or what.

All my Charvel guitars are USA production run or Custom Shop models. You know that a pimp can't be caught playing a Mexican Charvel guitar.
