I don't understand the full story on all of these issues, as I can't fucking keep up. However, it seems that shutting down the Dept of Education is a step backwards. But I assume the reason for this is the higher ups on the Dept of Education lining their pockets and giving all their buddies grants and every other sort of corruption. I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but being that the dept of education is most likely democratic based, I'm sure it's waist deep in corruption.
The department of “education” is a liberal propaganda factory. Members of congress have no special privileges that allow them access to whatever they want whenever they want. Any and all federal buildings are under the presidents umbrella of authority. Whenever not assembled as a congress they are just private citizens like everyone else. The power they wield is as a body at the mercy of a majority vote. The arguments they gave while demanding entry were empty threats with zero substance or merit. As a matter of fact their arguments could be construed as a potentially abuse of power. They’re not acting as official congressional business, they’re inciting a takeover. What are they going to do when inside - tamper with evidence??? It’s a very bad look and the beginnings of a burglary in progress.

Well where I live it's nothing but religious indoctrination. Teaching kids that they don't even need to be educated because god will provide...as long as you keep giving him money. 🤣 I know many in education and they all say the same thing. As long as schools get their tax dollars they don't care. They only teach to pass state tests and teachers can't fail kids even if they do nothing. The lack of funding is stupid too. Teachers have to buy their kids supplies while our state has billions in surplus sitting in the bank. It's a state level issue as much as a DOE issue. Trying to make education a partisan issue is retarded because no one on either side is attempting to fix the underlying issues.
I'm always amazed when I hear liberals talk about how where they live the conservatives and christians are indoctrinating kids and ruining their lives etc..

There is no shortage of states and cities that cater to leftists and have progressive policies. Move to one of them. If you live in rural Missouri or Texas or Kentucky or Tennessee or Florida or Mississippi and you are complaining about the republicans you're kinda stupid. Fucking move. I can tell you if the place I lived had policies like they have in New York, New Jersey, California, Massachussetts, Washington State, New Mexico, Minnesota, Michigan or Pennsylvania, there's no way in hell I would stay there.

And before you start listing all the reasons why you can't move just remember that it's a matter of priorities. Whatever it is that keeps you there is obviously more important to you than living in a place where policy matches your preference. So quit bitching about it, you are choosing it.
