No Love for 3 Channel Rectifiers

The changes I made mostly affect the red channel; became more focused and the clarity got better. The Orange got a touch brighter but can still be the ‘wall of sound’ thing that Rectos are known for. You do lose a bit of the clean though. Plus, these are super easy and reversible (I jumped 4 resistors and bypassed 1 LDR).
This is only for the 2 channel, yeah?

Mostly but in the long thread over on the Boogie Board there are 2-3 guys that decipher the mod as it relates to their 3 channel with good results. It’s like a 30 pg thread and the 3 channel guys start in later like pg 15 or so. I’ll check it later and pm you

Awesome, thanks man!!

I find rectos so versatile, that the good ones and "not desirable ones" all sound good to me. I can really get exactly what I want out of any of them. It's the amp that if I had to tour with, I probably would choose a new Dual Recto out of the box and just be completely happy with it.

Man my rev G three channel dual rec sounds like complete ass. All fizz and flub.. I'm going to have to try those mods

Man, it shouldn’t be that bad. If you’re running 6L6’s, try EL34’s. They’ll be much tighter, and the low end will be more focused, with more punch. And I’m pretty sure that a G should be a two channel.
