No one does Amp / Gear fests anymore eh ?

I suppose the Logistics are the big issue ...... probably too much space in between forumites ....

I know I wouldn't want to drive more than a couple of hours to get to one

Back in the old Kramer Forum days, for about 3-4 years, we would have a big gathering in Nashville. Peeps would come all the way from Europe for that one. I met folks from Scotland, England, Amsterdam, etc.. Still keep in touch with a few. It was good times.

The NY Amp show, held at the Secaucus, NJ Embassy Suites was always hit or miss, maybe ten amp vendors attended. I’m not surprised it’s gone with YouTube and generous return policies.

I’m in Michigan and could maybe do something in my pole barn, I have a ton of parking near the barn.

It might take some convincing and renting some porta John’s IMG_1786.jpeg

We did a couple of them around 2009/2010 here in Orlando, but they sorta dropped off after those. I think organizing can be tough. But it would be great to do it again.

we did one that was fun, but it was in one big room and really kind of hard to hear anything with so many rigs being played. it would be cool to maybe rent a block of hotel rooms or somewhere with a bunch of rooms to isolate things a little

Still doing it from time to time, "privately" with buddies.
Always fun to try eachothers' rigs, tweak/play/chat and share a good meal/drinks, talking about things we love.

This is actually a great idea. Because, yeah, it was like a massive GC with people that could actually play haha.

I've never been invited to an amp fest but it kinda has that avon lady get together feel. Instead of old women with cheap makeup it'll be old dudes with body odor, beer breff, and amps I can't afford.
