Hey guys!
So I did some testing with my rig noise, and just about all of it seems to be coming from my guitars/pickups....my preamp noise is VERY minimal, and I don't particularly need it silenced....really not worth it IMO.
When testing, I noticed that most of the noise comes in when I roll my guitar volume knob up...when the volume knob is down, the amps are basically dead silent.
Would a regular ISP decimator in front of the amp clean this up without any negative effects? Would it kill my clean channel, or would it be ok since I am only running out front and the gate is triggering off guitar signal?
Would you run it first thing from the guitar, or last thing before the amp?
Eric
