Noise suppressor - front or loop?

I wish I could test this out at home but I picked up a boss ns-2 late last night for my gig tonight. I'm already packed and ready to go with my gear.

I'm running an sd-1 into my DSL. I might use a delay in the loop but haven't decided on that yet. Should the gate go after the sd-1 or throw it in the loop? I'm hoping to have time during soundcheck to try it both ways but I may not.

run the NS-2 in front of your amp, Last pedal in your pedal train. ex DSL>NS-2>Sd-1>Guitar.

Some good settings for the NS-2 are the left knob around 11 o'clock (less if necessary) middle knob turned all the way to the left (off position)
 
thanks man! I was wondering how to use both on this pedal.
 
The X connection is the best way to utilize the NS-2.
It makes both the front and back end dead silent. Tone suck is also much less apparent for some reason.
The only challenge is figuring out where a delay pedal would sit in that formation.
 
Delay pedal goes in between effects return feed out of the NS-2 and the ACTUAL return jack of the DSL.

Depends where the noise is coming from. If it's pup noise the you'd want the front. If it's amp noise then the loop. If you got the time and the cables hook it up in the X pattern shown above to take care of all of it. Definitely put the delay last in your fx loop. That way the NS-2 won't kill your delay repeats. Have a good gig.

Are talking about the X connection?
 
If the amp is noisy, put it in the lopp(before the delay), if the SD-1 is causing the noise, put it between the guitar and the amp, with the SD-1 in the loop of the NS-2, and if the guitar is bringing the noise, but it first in your chain.
 
I ended up just running it through the loop. The x pattern was cutting too much. I couldn't find a happy medium as a lot of the amp's reverb was almost not noticeable with it going in both ways.
