Running a stereo rig. Tremoverb on one side and an ultra plus on the other. When I have both amps on their gain channels, I’m getting a lot of noise. The tremoverb by itself…dead silent…the tverb and ultra plus, with the ultra only on the clean channel….quiet. The tverb and ultra with the ultra on either of its gain channels…noise. I’m confused. All my pedals are going into my boss ms3, and then going to my amps. Like I said, everything is quiet. I have not tried the ultra by itself yet to see if it’s the ultra or just how I’m running everything. The ultra plus has always been fine, no noise. Hope my ramblings make sense. Just curious if anyone has any idea. Buddy will be dropping off a wish noise gate that I’m going to try on the pv. Thanks in advance.

I can almost guarantee you it is a ground loop.
Didn't we go through this once already?
Is everything plugged into the same wall outlet - as it should be?
The noise you are probably talking about is not going to be fixed by a noise gate.
Get a ground lift for one of your amps. 3 prong to 2 prong adapter. Cheap way to check.

Nope not a ground lift like before. Different type of noise if that makes sense. I bought a ground loop eliminator that fixed that issue. I have so many lines running everywhere it’s hard to tell what is going on. Like I said it’s dead quiet until I get dirty on the second one.

Fuck bro I don’t know. Everything is dead nutz quiet until I hit the gain on the pv.

Possible I just didn’t notice it maybe? That ground lift was loud. I’m going to deep dive tomorrow.

What's the noise sound like brudda?

50/60Hz hum
White noise
Squeels
etc...

Can't remember how I wired these up but the tverb is my 1st amp in the path. Turned the PV on, left the tverb powered off....quiet but no output on the clean channel of the pv. Did not turn the volume up because of kids sleeping. Switched to the ultra channel and had output, but muted. Did not notice the noise. Turned on the tverb and the output from the PV shot up and matched the tverbs output like I normally have the volumes set...and the noise is back. But damn it sounds good when I'm playing.

going to fully map my signal chain and post it. hopefully it's something simple. Or just dumb on my part. I don't like MAP noise....

not the same as the ground lift but could be 50/60 cycle hum. who knows? I need to rearrange my shit anyway. Nothing else I will just take the PV out of the chain and run both cabs to the tverb. The PV is a combo and I have the 2x12"'s unhooked and I'm running a line out to the marshall.

and I also have a new emg spc control to install in my Greco today also. That guitar fucks hard already, if that spc does anything to improve it...I'm gonna be afraid to play that joint.

Good idea. I'm not super familiar with the power device you got but it wouldn't hurt to put a ground lift (3 plug to 2 plug adapter) to see what happens. That's what I did and it cured my "2 amps together" noise problem. I used the Splawn as the grounded amp assuming it has better power and grounding over my Recto. Now granted that is not the safest thing to do but what I was told is that as long as one of the amps has a normal ground (out) its safe. Good luck.

thanks dude....yeah I'm 100% sure it's not that. It's a different sound and I did have that previously as you remembered. Those plugs can be a super quick and easy fix for sure though. Only thing I can think is I must be running a hot signal from the tverb and overdriving the pv.
