I think it'll sound good in the axis...it's slightly darker, full sounding pickup to my ears. Works well in brighter guitar. Made my PRS custom 22 sound nice & thick. Thanks again.

Yep! I get off at 3:30 and have practice at 7:00. Im slapping that sucker in there as soon as I get home

I just installed my Duncan Custom into the Wolfie Special! Took some dremel shaping of the mounting legs to get it to fit. And, Duncan must use the same length pole piece screws for every pickup, because these extended way longer past the pickup bottom plate - causing it to almost not fit into the Wolfie. The mounting plate is silver instead of the EVH pickup's nice black frame, but it looks modded - and the zebra is reversed compared to the stock pickup. It's kinda cool, I think:

Results? I think it improved the guitar 100%! Opened up the sound, removed the lower mid nasal character the stock pickup has, reduced the output so you can hear the notes better (especially the wound strings)! Just makes the guitar sound more like vintage Van Halen, instead of Sammy era VH.
