Not liking Uberschall clips..or is it just the players?

I'm trying to find a good clip demonstrating the tone of a Bogner Uberschall, but, man, they all sound like GARBAGE. They seem to have to typical Mesa fizz that I call a kazoo. I searched on YouTube for a while but I was just getting a headache from the terrible playing and disgusting tone. I love high gain and I like to play some metal riffage at times, but I want my guitar to sound like a guitar and not a 3 year old's wind instrument purchased from the toy aisle at Wal-Mart. The Bogner Ecstasy sounds AWESOME and has plenty of gain on tap.

Does anyone have a clip that displays a good tone using the Uberschall or is this amp just not for me?

Edit: Changed the topic. Poorly worded and unfairly harsh towards a great amp that just isn't for me.
 
I had an uber and thought I liked the amp but realized the amp wasn't for me. To me it just did not have a tight enough response. Definitely thought the base tone was pretty good though
 
I loved my Uberschall and thought it produced some great tones. Depends what you're looking for I guess. I've got a number of Uberschall demos up at my website and some abbreviated versions at the Bogner site.

Bob, your demos are excellent. So with these GREAT examples I think I'm starting to realize that the amp doesn't have the sound I'm looking for. I just don't find it to be as tight and articulate enough for what I want especially considering the steep price tag. To my ears, it just doesn't have that well defined growl couple with the note distinction in chords like the XTC or Fish.

Yep, Uber is very different than any of the other Bogner amps. You hit the nail on the head too, it's a matter of personal preference. Nothing wrong with not liking what it does. There are so many amp choices nowadays that it makes no sense to "try" to like an amp.

By the way, I think the Uber has a very distinct growl, but it's not going to be tight like an Ultralead or even the Deliverance amps. I hear the Uber Twinjet with the KT88's is a step in the tighter direction but if the voicing isn't your thing there's no sense in forcing it.
 
heres a old clip i made on my old iphone, its not the greatest but its better than some that ive heard, or maybe this was one of the shitty vids you heard haha.

in the room it had more clarity and little more lows but you still get the idea, i should make a new clip because my iphone 4 sounds better than the 3gs i used in this clip.

I think the Uber is a great amp, but it all comes down to whether you like the voicing or not. I've been running my xtc-c with excursion at tight and the bass between 9-10 o'clock which is not much bass at all compared to what it can put out, but is more than enough for what I like. So with that in mind, the Uber is just voiced with more low-end than I would normally go for, but no doubt it has this pissed off thing that the other bogners don't have as much IMO. I definitely wouldn't judge amps too much off youtube vids though, because as said, there's definitely a lot of them where I'd attribute the "tone" to user error/bad playing IMO.

Okay, where the heck were these clips when I was wasting my freaking time on YouTube? LOL! You guys have totally redeemed this amp! Sounds excellent!

The second clip makes me imagine Godzilla marching haha! Seriously, the chugga chugga sounds a lot like the Godzilla theme.

I hear ya man. :lol: :LOL: I went through the same thing. Kept trying to find Uber clips and was disappointed til I found these. I've recently played one for over an hour and I was able to dial in these tones easily! Killer amp!

I was using a esp eclipse with emg 81 in the bridge.
 
Clips are not the best way to check out amps .... they can be interesting. But the only way to really check out anything is to get your hands on it and spend some time with it. (You can not tell what a women smells like from a video)
 
At least they are offering clips, you may not like them but at least they took the time to do them and not offer a typed tone review.

Bob's are great examples of the Uber and zombie's vid sounds great as well.
