At least they are offering clips, you may not like them but at least they took the time to do them and not offer a typed tone review.

Bob's are great examples of the Uber and zombie's vid sounds great as well.

I don't think anyone posts "typed tone reviews". Do they? lol

Thx scott, i plan on making some new clips soon, i guess i should make a new uber clip and a herbert clip.

I made a clip of my slash 2555, check that one out, you can find it with my clips.

Clips are not the best way to check out amps .... they can be interesting. But the only way to really check out anything is to get your hands on it and spend some time with it. (You can not tell what a women smells like from a video)

Absolutely correct, but when you don't have a boutique amp shop in your locality then you have to depend on whatever Guitar Center gets in stock. So, in most cases, online clips are one's only resource. Of course, one should be careful to watch out for dry signals going into the amp.

I agree, would never buy alone on clips but you can find out things about the amp if you listen carefully like tightness, articulation, and tone stack. Feel can never come from a clip and feel is everything to me.

I couldn't agree more. These things are so subjective. I remember I played a JCM800 2203 in Atlanta and fell in love with it, so when I got to Texas I bought one online. When I got it, it sounded NOTHING like the one I played in Atlanta. Later I found that the one in Atlanta was an early model and the one I bought was much manufactured later. I had no idea there would be that much of a difference in tone based on manufacturing date. After a few experiences like this (inconsistency, etc) with Marshall, I didn't buy another Marshall amp. The only one I'd buy now is a Plexi.

I have a TJ with 34's...it cuts almost as good as my XTC and can be quite articulate...it's all in how you run it...bass turned back a lil, mids up and presence up, gain not oversaturated, can yield a different tone than most of those YouTube vids...thinking of popping in 6550's, because they are a bit tighter...they have more of an EL34 crunch than the Sovteks 88's which I'm not a fan of...Since Bogners run so hot, they can benefit from some bigger bottles...I'm thinking they make a lot of sense in the Uberschall...for what I want out of it anyway...To the OP, if you want a clip I could send you some if you are still considering...

Here's a couple live videos of my Rev 2 in action. Audio is a crappy camcorder, but it might help to hear it in a live setting. Trust me, the sound was much better than what the camcorder translated it to. Or you may hate them.

All guitars equipped with EMG 81/85 or 707 pups. In a couple of videos our singer was using my SLO. Shows how the two work well together.

I really wasn't able to find any good Uberschall clips, so I took a plunge and just got one. It's really sensitive to speaker type; you've got to have nice speakers or the bass will flub out too much. As everybody says, it really comes down to whether it's your thing or not. It's got this weird low-mid voicing that I happen to love, and IMO it's probably one of the most aggressive amps out there.

Here you go sir. :) Good luck dealing with the GAS after this one.

Always liked this clip too. Sounds just evil, like a recto being pushed into almost meltdown.

The second clip...I NEED the amp settings for this! I love this tone! GAHHHH

+1

My only real regret in the amps that have come and gone is the fact I unloaded my brand new Uber TJ and UberKab due to infrequency of use. Bloody dead mint, and I just unloaded them like no big deal. One of the wickedest sounding amps in the world - period.

That's the best Uberschall clip I've heard. Sounds like a pedal was pushing it though.

I met JMR while he was working the eventide booth at namm, that dude can p[lay and had some of the best tone on the main floor with Cornford MK50s and Mesa for the wet side.

He is a good example of who you should listen to when asking about amps.............................. :)

I beg to differ...this one truly captures what it sounds like in the room

(after you're done swatting all of the bees ;) )

Got a friend who's got a TJ that he's been running stereo with his 101B and has been raving about the mix. I need to get over to his place and check that out. I wouldn't mind something like that to run along with my XTC Classic.

That dude can play his ass off. In fact that sounds a lot like my playing (after 15 beers and several shots of Jager).
