Nova System, G Force, or G Major 2?

I sold my g-force and ended up getting a gmajor 2 with cash to spare. The G-force is built better, but the g-major sounds just as nice to me.

Just been through all this too! I also included the DigiTech 1101, various Lexicons and the G-Sharp in my final list.

My decision:

short term, Damage Control Glass Nexus while I save my pennies for:
long term, Axe-Fx Ultra

of those three, GM2

Why? Is it better sounding, built better, etc.

i am interested in the g-major 2 and would like to know the differences between the units.

Thanks

Go g-force. You won’t get the wonky faulty probs you’ll get w/the g maj 2, and you have more midi programming options via foot controller than nova. I’ve had all three, and the g-force was hands down the best for stability and control. The hardest thing about it would (in my opinion) be the routing matrix/deep editing options. But, honestly, you don’t even HAVE to utilize the matrix if you just want to use the stock sounds. All of them have great sounding ad/da converter. YMMV

I have a nova and a gmaj2. I never use the Nova, it's just not as good. Why? It's setup like a stomp box array, which I don't care for. The gain or boost features only work if you use that input, which is fine, but I like to have delays in the loop, and you can't use that setup in a loop. Additionally, I have the three button expander, which allows me to essentially have three presets. Three. You can scroll up or down, but that is one of the buttons dual functionality features. So, you are playing a dirty rhythm, have a clean sound and a lead sound on bank one, but you want to switch to a dotted delay or some other sound outside of those three, you have to hold down the 'up' button, release it at just right moment, click it again to confirm you want that next tier, and then click the preset button. It just isn't practical.

The sounds on both are comparable. The delays and verbs are great, but the chorus/phase/flange leave a lot to be desired.

I think the OP bought something. Been 10 years!!!!!!

Post dates back from 2009!!!! Lol

But G System would of been my suggestion, depending on what kind of setup he was using. Still have mine from 10+++ years of use in a WDW setup with the brain racked. The foot controller has got to be the most well built one ever. So amazing.
