Now I got my hands on a Marshall 2210.

Sounds great! I had the same amp. It was a 1989 and with the gain at like 3
and a SD-1 in front of it, it was pure '80s rock. Only reason I offed it is because I have
a 1983 JCM-800 4104 2x12 and a 1978 JMP 2203 head both mint and I traded the 2210 half stack for a
drum set for my son.

Thanks!
Yeah, these amps sound decent stock, but the diode clipping has it's own kind of sound. The stock amp is quite far from alot of the other classic Marshalls and my mod kind of brought it back into that realm.

I think that the guys who like the 2210 and 2205 because of the added gain would be stoked too hear this one. It has all the gain of the 2210 but with the tonality of the more classic Marshalls.

Excellent! I had an 89'...The 2210 is on more albums than most folks realize.

Sounds great. What mods did you do?
Thank you!

Oh, it's no commonly known mod, but I have basically rebuilt both channels, the phase inverter and upgraded the switching circuit.

Sounds great, same with you're JCM 800.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, they are not mine though. The 2204 has been returned to it's owner and the 2210 will be shipped next week :)

Yeah, schenker and norum both like and use them and their 50w equivalent 2205.

The problem with modding all these amps is that when you are done you really just want to keep them all

Guess I'll have to build myself another amp soon...

Yeah, the owner likes Lizzy (well, who doesn't?) so I thought I'd give him a little bit of that. There's some cold sweat in there as well.
