Now I'm annoyed

I hate when people just plan ignore me. I'm usually a very understandable guy that will work with anyone. However, when I get ignored, it really gets under my skin. Back in January 2011, I bought a Charvel from a guy on this forum. He had over 2000 posts and people were saying that he was a good guy to deal with. I paid the $800 and he shipped the guitar. The problem was that because the old labels were not removed, it ended up shipping to California instead of in Maine. Chubtone ended receiving the guitar (and he communicated with me in this issue as well) and ended up sending it back. Somehow, I've been told by the seller that Fedex lost the guitar somewhere. Long story short, while waiting for the guitar to show up here and there and Fedex to get back to him, the Paypal protection of 30 days expired and never received the guitar. The seller was going through difficult times and was making payments occasionally but then ended. I would send a message on occasion with a reply I'll get it to you I promise. I recently sent another email after a long time without anything and he apologize, said that there was no excuse for the delay and would send me the payment but didn't remember how much was left. I messaged him was the balance was and since then pouff... no answer. Even though I can tell he's logged on, he's completely ignoring me and my other messages. I could really use that money as well since I'm buying a house, went through a horrible divorce and have a father who's currently dying of lung cancer at the hospital. We all have our own baggage to carry and deal with... however, a man's word is a man's word and it is all we are left with at the end of this journey. Trust me, I'm seeing with my dad.

1) Have you called him on the phone to discuss?
2) If it can't be resolved, out him.

I wouldn't have waited this long to allow him to pay me back. 6 months would have even been longer than I'd let it go.

Is this the badass red Charvel Nitro Relic from the classifieds a long time ago? I seem to remember that guitar going missing, or something like that.

Good luck!!

I'm sorry you're going through that with your dad. Best of luck to you both.
I agree. A man's word is his bond or at least it used to be.

I just don't understand how someone can not hold up to their word....I hate scammers/slackers etc....I hate stealing, lying, and being brushed off (not answering pm's).....
Out the guy.......this is beyond ridiculous...........If guitar was "lost" why no Fedex claim filed? ....whoever the guy is....be a freaking MAN and handle your business the proper way....treat others the way you want to be treated.....hiding is cowardly....be a man...own up to your responsibilities..

Marshallman, sorry to hear about your dad...praying for y'all.

Its horse shit you have to go thru this. :gethim:
Seems you have been more then patient. I am pretty sure I know who the member is from your story.
And your right....we all have our problems. You pay...he ships. Done deal.
Its Fucked people have to be like this. Hope it resolves out. I dont think outing him would make a difference since if its the guy I am thinking about.....he dont post here anymore.
But out his ass!! :poke:

I really hate it when people don't reply, especially when communication has already been established
"Yes", "No", "Fuck Off", I don't mind, as long as the situation's clear; being left in the dark sucks.
Best of luck with your issues

Sorry to hear this, out the guy so that he doesn't have the opportunity to do this to anyone else, it may or may not help your situation but you can help the RT nation/members to avoid this unpleasant experience

Ditto to all of this, Out the guy

You did the deal in Jan 2011 and you've waited this long to come forward? There are plenty of trustworthy guys around here and sometimes shit does happen along the way. In the end, no matter how good someones reputation is, you've got to cover your own ass. Even if it means not being Mr Nice Guy.

Holy mother of god.... you can't out him now. statute of limitations might come into play here. sheesh

not cool of him...and you; he screwed you and you're screwing all of us by not outing him

Sad, most of the guys here are cool. Hope this gets worked out.

Ordinarily, I would suggest working it out off-line, BUT......... after 14 months of patience on your behalf.........OUT HIM, SO THE REST OF US DO NOT EVER GET CAUGHT UP IN THE DRAMA !!!!!!!!
