This thing is sick in front of my rhodes modded recto. Pretty sure thay were made to go together for brutal stuff. The latching feature is cool as well. I can boost my orange for rhythm, and with one click, switch to the red channel for leads with a verb or delay in the loop, with just the one pedal. Pretty slick.
I know its only one knob, but how does everyone prefer to use it? I.e. boost all the way up, or more gain from the amp, and slightly boosted, like 1:00 or so?

Nice score. I prefer to run mine around 2-3...

Thank goodness he made more batches so you could get them used for a reasonable price again. For a minute there it was ridiculous.

I love the 33. It cuts a ton of bass so it takes a bit for ears to get accustomed to what it's doing, but man I just love it once that happens. Still plenty of chunk and chug. Great bite and saturation but without being ridiculously over compressed.

I run it anywhere from 1-3 o'clock.

Yep that’s where I’m usually at too. I can dime it with good results too, but it takes different amp settings. That said, I still prefer the balance with it around 2-3 in most cases.

The trick with the 33 and grind, especially with amps that are already tight, are those higher settings. Since they trim a healthy dose of bass, slamming the front end gets the tone to compress more and thicken back up a bit. Not that you couldn’t get a good sound with lower pedal settings with some amps and settings, but using the pedal with that approach in mind is where I find I can really maximize what it does.

I've been finding a good balance with my Fortin 33 and Rivera KR100 running it in the 1-3 o'clock range. After adjusting the amp settings slightly I'm super pleased with the 33! The punch it has is just incredible. That true Scott Ian type punch. Absolutely love it. It was weird to get use to at first being used to the Maxon OD808 for 10 years..... But now it's pretty integral to my setup.

Makes alot of sense. He mesa likes the lower settings as it leans it out in a good way. It also cleans up a little better than my 808 with the volume knob. I guess cause theres no clipping...?
