I had the stock 490/498 set in my Gibson Gothic LP studio for 10+ years...I actually liked the tone, but always wanted to upgrade to BKs. Well, one day the bridge went bad and gave me the excuse- now a matched set of Aftermaths are in there. Holy crap, tight tight tight, lots of clarity...Bare Knuckles really are a huge step up.

I also have a set of Miracle Mans in an Epi7 Goth...I like them a lot but wonder if the Aftermath would have been a better choice for the bridge on that one- the tight lows and pronounced mids really pop the notes out

Just recently got a bareknuckle nailbomb in my prs. Excellent pickup. I would love to try the aftermath in my baritone.

See my sig! :D :D :D

I just ordered an aftermath for my les Paul. At the moment, my les paul has a Ceramic warpig, which is INSANE!!! Absolutely my favorite pickup on earth. I have only tried the warpig, but after owning this, i am a completely believer/converter! I am taking out my warpig and putting it in my Jackson RR-1T, and putting the aftermath in my les paul. I just seem to think the Aftermath will suit my Lp better (high mids, extremely fast percussive attack etc) All in all I am really excited! What amps are you using with it? Anymore info you can give me about the Aftermath in your LP is appreciated! :D

all my guitars will have bk soon enough..
lol I feel the same way...btw, Reza- great video in the signature, interesting right hand technique during some of the fast picking parts, looks like the thumb is doing something eliptical

I have a Randall mts with modded mods-clones of a Rockerverb, Marh-oladno, 5150, Cobra, Mark IV
Many of these mods have "Tight" swithces on them that changes the bass cap from tight to loose. I like the loose for lo & mid gain stuff, but I spend 99% of my time on modern hi gain material which likes tight bass. The Aftermath gets it tight right from the source, very cool for detuned, fast palm muted picking...I actually find myself using <gasp> less gain, as the pickups just seem a lot edgier than the stock 490/498 or the Epi-MMans. Leads on bridge or neck give off a pro sounding sheen (for lack of a better description). If you're tuning down and playing quick palm muted stuff, you need fast articulate reaction with some pronounced mids and this thing delivers. I like it a lot more than the MMans combo in the other axe, which sounds strong but does have a bit more "smear on the low end" and not as much jump at you mids (this works better for ringing out chords mid tempo kind of playing).

Standard E tuning rock players should look elsewhere, but for this right approach it slays!

I looked hard at Nailbomb and Painkiller too, never played one would like too :)

I've tried a miracle man, warpig, and a painkiller. All have been great. I'm definitely a believer as well. Congrats on the NPD! I'll have to try that aftermath soon!
