A killer inexpensive Overdrive I picked up recently.. Not bad for under $30. Supposed to be a clone of Fulltone OCD?

Yup. Killer transparent pedal. Chased lots of others away for me...Wamplers, Keeley mods, 2 Bogner (red/blue)....others I forget. At least with a Jubilee and other Marshalls it works very well. Don't know about other amps but it is a great fit for a Marshall.

I paid 50$ delivered for one of these but mine was literally a chinese knock off clone that looks exactly like an OCD v.4. To be honest, makes me wonder whether or not it was just stolen off the assembly line. Anyway , they all do the same thing and sound good at what they do but all it did was renew my interest in cheap overdrives and I ended right back to where we all started: BOSS SD-1 or a TS-808. Why mess with what works and those two just do it. The only thing I will never part with that is remotely close to being boutique, is the koko boost. The downside to buying a knock off, is that i feel responsible for it never trading on the market as a real OCD and somebody paying top dollar for it. So it has to sit in the box on my shelf for eternity. I have seen a few knock offs floating around and I think it is a dick move to sell them at regular used prices. That's off topic though.

Hmm...yeah I guess I never bought mine to paint and try to re-sell as the real thing. That's a crime..of course I'm buying a Chinese clone of the real thing so I shouldn't talk. Only issue I ever had with the SD1 is the low end. Just takes too much away. The ultimate drive doesn't do that, and neither does the new OD1X.

I think it is a great pedal. The OCD is just a modified version a other pedal I have heard. Was it a TS9 ???

Kind of Confused here. You mention its a killer overdrive, than say not bad for under $30. Is it just a nice cheap pedal or a nice pedal regardless of the price. There is a difference. Just curious how it really stands up.....

Had one of these, but it broke after a month. I found a much better option was the EHX OD Glove for $70. It's an even better OCD clone with a more useable mid boost switch AND an internal switch so you can run it in 18v mode with only a standard 9v adapter. Best overdrive I've tried in years. Better than my real ocd so i sold it and had cash left over.

I've had mine for 5 years? Probably 50 gigs and plenty of home use. Now I'm using an OD1X as my main pedal for my Jubilee so its not getting used. But its been reliable for me. Like I said, its chased a lot of boutiques away so I say at any price its worth comparing.

Would go with the EHX "Glove" pedal rather than a Chinese cheap-o if I wanted an OCD clone. They're under $70 and EHX tends to make great stuff. Been considering the Glove or a Soul Food.
