Soran dual stomp modeler came this evening. Notice the preset name I found. Proof @VonBonfire isn't just a modeler user but a developer! Usual mostly dogshit presets tuned by hamfisted retards but once you dial in the amp, cab, mic position it sounds pretty fucking good. Only had an hour so I dialed in the existing presets and got good convincing tones out of the 5150, jumpered Plexi, JCM800, and Mesa Mark IV models. And the clean tones are good as well. Effects are useable and pretty standard. Noise gate is okay unless you start rolling off volume on the guitar then it gets a little window lickery. But for the the $77 it cost it is a no brainer and I just scratched the surface of its capabilities. Has NAM loading capabilities. Feel was decent as well. Probably not going to make anyone sell a Kemper or Axefx, but it's way better than the modeling in my Boss GT1000, or the old DigiTech GSP1101 I had years ago. Super small footprint takes maybe 2 1/2 pedal spaces. Great for a backup rig. 10/10 for the price and super easy to edit on the fly. Also has a global eq.

Sweet! Should I grab that one or the lite without the pedal?

Yeah is the expression pedal necessary or not really?

I forgot to try the wah. I used the volume a bit but not much. I like having more options than less, but will let you know if the expression is gtg or not tomorrow when I get more time with it. Also should check what else it can be assigned to. It is close to same size as a crybaby mini. I was running it through 2 Alto TS312 powered cabs which are decent for a budget set up.

I just checked the manual, it is volume or wah only and like I said I will report back tomorrow as to how decent the wah is. First impression is as long as you use effects sparingly, and don't plan on trying to roll off guitar volume to clean up a gainy amp, it's really good sounding. First preset I modified was the 5150 as it is one of my favorite amps for medium to high gain and turned off all effects and dialed in a good metal tone in about 10 seconds after a brief glance at the manual. I won't get a chance to try loading NAM files for a while as I need a new computer first.

Just spent 3 hours dialing in and jamming on it and I am impressed. Wah/volume works fine as long as you can deal with the mini pedal which I used to have the crybaby mini and this sounds and feels like I remember it though it has been a few years. Pretty good cab options and 3 mic positions and usual assortment of mics so a lot of different tones to ne had. Twin sounded like a clean Twin for the 10 minutes I spent on it. Mark IV sounds more like a IIC+ and it took about 10 minutes and it aounded like the isolated Orion track once I dialed it in. Plexi, JCM 800, 90's Recto, and 5150 souded like a well recorded example. Effects are good enough for me as I use them sparingly. Just like a real Mark had to turn the bass way down and dial an EQ to get the sound I wanted. For what these sell for I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any guitar player as it is easy with a great interface and no deep editing necessary. Gain, eq, boost if desired and go.

Messed with the gate today and it is okay for some light rolling off of volume but it is best to just set up a less gainy preset next to it. Still am shocked at the sounds and features for $75.

this thing looks pretty cool. have you uploaded any nam profiles??

Probably won't get to that for a while as my computer shit the bed and I need to replace it. The included presets once tweaked are fucking excellent.

Did a little crappy Android clip of the PA speakers using my external camera mic. Some clipping on the 5150 and Recto models as I didn't get those 2 brought down enough. Sounds way better and like a properly recorded guitar through the PA.
