I turned 30 on the weekend, and as i have a serious addiction to guitar stuff decided to get a delay pedal =0
Real estate on my pedalboard is restricted so depending on what i'd get it would inevitably replace the other delay on the board , in my case a TC flashback delay
The Flashback replaced the MXR carbon copy... and now as the title suggests , the brigadier replaced the flashback.
The flashback was great, in terms of size and flexibility it's hard to beat, i used it for certain passages using the steve morse toneprint for big analog sounding swell/delays, but ultimately since i would forget to set tap tempo before a song starts i would end up using the delays on the M9 instead, which are very useable but nothing to write home about.
I was pretty impressed by the T Rex Reptile 2, which sounds great but i've always had an eye out for the strymon, i eventually decided on the brigadier instead of the el capistan as i'm really into analog sounding delays
It arrived monday, and didn't disapoint, I tried it out a bit side by side to the flashback before putting it on the board in case, but after about 1-2 hours of dialing in something i liked and tripping out like a 60s kid listening to jimi, i cut the velcro and re'arranged the board
the infinite repeat feature is really neat, but ultimately it's a really great sounding analog DMM style delay, as the random youtube vid below demonstrates
