Just got this today and it’s looking to be a keeper after comparing it to all my other boosts and rack PQ’s. Shoutout to mhenson42 for the super smooth transaction. I’ve owned a Wizard MTL for almost 4 years now, had a ‘96 MC1 in the past and this definitely will add some of that Wizard flavor to the amp you use it with. It has that same rock solid feel without feeling stiff or unforgiving and that same thing where it’s tight, but not surgically tight and still round attack. Very well balanced voicing and lower noise than most boost pedals I’ve had. I tend to keep the gain between 9 and 10 O’ clock, but it’s pretty much all useable. Surprised to see so many for sale recently

It won’t necessarily replace any Klon, tubescreamer or SD-1 style pedals because those are more saturated, tighter, sharper attack, more colored (in a good way) but I think this can possibly dethrone many boosts that are more open and transparent like the Timmy’s, Duncan 805, etc. The Klon and thorpy Heavy Water are still my 2 favorite boosts for what I like, but this has its own thing going on to make it worth keeping. The only boosts left on my radar now are the KSR Eros, Mesa/Boogie Gold Mine and Vahlbruch Kaluna. I’ve been through almost 130 boosts now and have 6 staying plus 3 rack PQ’s. I tend to sell or return the vast majority of boosts I try, but for now this is looking to stay

Awesome, I'm super interested in this pedal. I could hear the Wizard vibes in imparts even on the youtube vids, such a cool thing. Def interested in the Eros as well. Enjoy the new OD!

Been looking at these too to go along with a KHDK Ghoul Screamer. That is if I don't wind up getting an actual Wizard Modern Classic to scratch the Wizard itch. Never really bothered with any pedals before other than what is available in the Axe Fx and fuzz, but about to pop that cherry and want to get it right enough on the first try.

Glad you like it! I debated on selling it because I’m a big Wizard fan but at the end of the day I decided to stick with the Koko boost and Eros and also pick up a Direwolf.

The Eros I’m curious to try. I had a Dire Wolf and 1st version Koko Boost in the past. The koko was actually the 1st boost I ever owned or tried. I remember the Dire Wolf being like the Airis Savage but better, but I think it was a combination of having my Klon and rack PQ’s that made it obsolete for me

Nice! I really dug the pedal while I had for demo, it but it wasn’t a “I NEED this!!” kind thing. It does sound great.

Yeah man the Eros is cool. Love it with my KSR but took a minute to make it feel right with my BE. Just got a Direwolf. Very cool pedal.
