Just finished the new rack and wow I’m stoked!

3rd time I’ve owned a jmp-1.

I currently own some nice amps.
Wizard MTLii, Uber original, old JCM800 and an old JMP

And this jmp-1 with fryette 2/90/2 rig is no joke!
Sounds incredibly good actually!

I remember guys raving about the JMP-1 Fryette combo 15-20yrs ago and now I get why ??

Would love to know your signal chain. Rack looks sweet.

For recording it's similar to a studio setup where the fx are all after the amp.
That way i can run stereo with only 1 amp.

Line 6 filter pro is out of the chain and I run it before the amp when I want to use it.

Preamp into poweramp.
Power amp into St Rock IR.
St Rock IR into Tascam Mixer.
Mixer sends 2 AUX outputs, 1 to the Eclipse and 1 to the Lexicon.
Stereo wet signals from both return to the Tascam mixer and are mixed back with the dry signal.
Left and Right outs from Tascam go to the desk.

There's some killer marshall vibe to be found in the jmp1. I run mine into a vht 2100 classic or 2150.

I'm only new to running it into a 2/90/2 but it sounds incredible and is easily the best power amp I've used with the JMP-1.

Saw a clip on youtube recently where Dave Friedman was saying how amazing he thinks the jmp1 is

I love mine, always been happy with it. It really shines when matched with a good power amp.

A downside is the FX loop. The effects loop is parallel at lower settings and series at higher settings. More info here: https://www.marshallforum.com/threads/jmp-1-effect-loop.7994/

So I run the JMP direct into my Gmajor/Intellifex rather than in the loop.

Another downside is that rolling back the volume on the guitar, does not act the same as a valve amp. It just becomes flubby and weak.

? yeah the loop isn't great.

If I was running a live rig, I'd run jmp-1 into a mixer then into a power amp to keep a nice clean signal.
Always been OCD with that stuff ?

I thought you were talking about the awesome limited edition JMP 1 watt head or combo of the 50th anniversary Marshall line released in 2012.

So many want Marshall to add that lineup year round as a regular stock item they would sell millions and millions.

The 1 watt JMP, JTM, JCM 800, JCM 2000 and the JVM. They sound absolutely killer and are on an entirely different level than the DSL 1 watt .

First few minutes of video is JMP 1 watt and second half of video is JCM 800 1 watt.
