Oh man... the hype is real!

Only a short amount of playtime, but it met every expectation within minutes... replacing a LOVELY 65 watt Creamback G12M, which I love, but it smokes it... worth every cent. It actually sounds like my amp is happy! Wonderful across the frequency spectrum... open, articulate, lots of breath, but kills with high gain!!!

If you are on the fence because it's pricey, jump to the dark side (or Alnico Cream side), because it's that good... more details later, but the 65watt Creamback has had my heart for a while... this one just stole it...

Enjoy the photos!

I had the 65 creambacks in a Marshall 2x12 and it sounded fantastic with the ISP Theta DSP Pro.
So how does this Alnico Cream differ sonically? (Highs, lows, mids etc)

Love the Alnico cream. Even though it is high wattage it plays great with my Atma combo. Great speaker!

Hey Nigel!

It's in the same vein as the 65watt Creamback, but it makes the 65 sound flat and dull. That's the only way I can describe it...

It's sensitive in the best way to the EQ of the amp... doesn't get spikey with the highs or clubby in the lows, it just gets 'richer' if that makes sense....

I'll be getting another soon for my Vector 2x12!!!!!

The Alnico Golds I have sound great in a open back/half back cab,but in a 2x12 closed back they got chocked off.
Now,when Rez did a quad of Alnico Creams in a 4x12 they kicked ass. And they were not even broke in.
But man,a quad of these would be as much as a new Friedman or Bogner 4x12.

Congrats on the Cream

Hey Adam! Ok, so similar but just better all around ;) yeah if I had one complaint about the 65 creambacks they sounded a little congested/flat sounding. If this opens that core sound up that's awesome.

I just got my Theta DSP Pro card back from Buck at ISP (I just sent them the DSP card), they upgraded it to 3.1 for me so now I'm rocking alll the extra features

^^^^^^^^^^^

Congrats on the new chip... those new features are pretty sweet... LOVE the ping-pong delay... LOVE the Rotary on the clean settings... so good... tuner rocks...

Creambacks: hmmm... never thought they sounded stiff... in fact, I thought they were better (for me) than my Greenbacks and the V30... they felt rich by comparison... but the Alnico Cream is so good!!! It seems to bend and fold to the notes and attack... so good on the cleans too... I'm so happy with this speaker... I just sold two Eminence and I'll hopefully be able to fund another Alnico soon!!!
