Well, I decided to pick up a used pair of British Classic Lead 80's and pair it with the G12H30 70th Anny's in the Cameron 4X12 cab as recommended by Nick. Well he was right. They sound great!!! They reduce some of the high end shrill of the G12H30s while still maintaining clarity/tightness, but with some extra low end thickening up the mids just a hair. Sounds great with the Atomica.

Sweet! I just snagged a pair of them as well. They're going in an empty 70s Marshall cab with some hellatone g1230s.

very nice...CL80's are my favorite

Yes, I know. Hearing your BFG Marshall and SLO played through them inspired me to look into them. They sounded bad ass through the SLO and the BFG modded Marshall JCM800 1X12 combo.

I need to swap 2 of the 75's in my Marshall 1960A with something else. I have always like the CL80's and already have a Scumback M75 loaded cab so maybe that is the way to go to keep the variety in the mix.

I would recommend these for sure!!! I heard that they sound good paired with V30s or the G12H30s. Scumbacks are another great option. I like the J75 series.

Yeah, I'm really excited about it. Maybe I'll do the swap in my Cameron cab as well if it works out.

I think he used G12-80's, so did Mark before he decided on all H30's. You have the new version, kind of similar but not.

Nick used the ones I have, which are the British G12-80s. He said the CL80s (which are the G12-80) were great and told me to make sure I got the British ones.

I are you sure these are the ones Nick and Mark used. These are Rola ones from the late 70' with the 444 cones.

1777 cones and minor phase issues lead him to all H30's. You may want to try 4 of those Heritage G12h30's 55hz in there

nice,

i use the newer CL80 english made, the g1280 sounds killer to.

That is Mark though? I was talking about Nick and he recommended the British GT-80 with the 1777 cones paired with the G12H30 70th Annys in the Cameron 4X12 cab.
