So I just got my WGS speakers, Retro 30, and ET65. the Retro is signifigantly louder then the ET65, so I put it on the bottom, and turned that side of the power amp down a bit, and so far it sounds great. The ET65 is  I might also try that one with an Earcandy Green machine.

Overall it sounds great, I will have to re-eq to add a bit more presence, and take the bass down a bit from what I was running with the K-100s, but great bang for the buck.

Happy NSD!! Its funny, you spend all this time waiting for boutique speakers, not to mention all the money  , So as a project I ordered the Vet30/ET65 combo for an Orange 2x12, and wow, best classic rock sound I have heard yet!!! , reasonable time and price, GREAT speakers!!

How are the Vet30's compared to v30's? Are they as exaggerated in the mids? As in the ice picky mids?

I can't speak for the Vet30, and I haven't had a Vin 30 for a while, but the Retro 30 that I have reminds me of a Vin 30 a lot, it just seems smoother, and without the honk. The Retro 30 is basically a Vet30 but with more lows, and highs, and slightly louder. Even with more highs to me both of the WGS speakers seem a bit dark, but that might just be the fact that they are not broken in yet.

I also saw a used speaker on my local Kijiji that I am thinking about picking up, it is an old Rola Celestion G12-80. I can't seem to find much info about it, but I am thinking that might be the speaker for my 112.

Congrats on the NSD. I have a pair of WGS ET-65's and really like them. They don't seem to have the 'bite' that I heard in celestions, but they still sound great. I have heard a Vet30 and liked it okay.

I just tried the ET65 with an Earcandy Green machine, and it sounds awesome!!!! That is the nice thing about having a stereo wired 212, and a 112, I just put the GM in my 112, and powered the ET65 with one side of my power amp, then switched between the GM, and the Ret30. The GM with the ET65 sounds very full, and crunchy, but with a good amount of clarity. I will have to do more tests, but I am thinking that is the combo that I am going to rock for a while

I have a quad of WGS veteran 30s in my Sourmash 4x12. They are very smooth and tight. The only V30s I could compare em with are in my Mesa recto cab. Its a tough comparison because the recto cab is an oversized slant, and the Sourmash is a marshall sized straight. That being said, Im very pleased with the WGS speakers. They are much easier to dial in than the V30 loaded recto.

The Vet30's are pretty similar as far as the mids go, but definitely missing the ice pick spike. I A/B'd the Vet30's an V30's (Hellatone 60's, actually) for quite a while, and went with the Vet30's. They are in my Avatar contemporary 4x12 coupled with a pair of ET-65's, with the Vets on the bottom, 65's on top as described above. A very smooth mix, but not super tight.
