Lately I've been getting into different tunings to experiment with and expand beyond standard tunings. One of the things I want to try is an octave pedal. EHX has the POG series and the Sitar. Boss has the MO2. What else is a good octave pedal? What do you use to come up with cool sounds? I used to have a Digitech Whammy DT and it sounded too artificial (it also took up too much pedalboard space).

Also, is there any kind of pedal that would work similar to a Variax system, where I can store alternate tunings? So I keep the guitar tuned to standard, but wen I engage the pedal, it sounds like DADF#AE or New Standard or something similar?

Eh Pitch fork is on point. $150 I think, heck of a deal. A lot going on with that small unit, tracks pretty dang good too.

The Detune is ok, but IMO any pedal like that which you detune by more than 2 or 3 steps will sound somewhat artificial and might not track 100%.

I don't just mean detuning pedals. My friend has a POG that he loves. EHX has things like the MEL and C9. Ibanez and MXR make pedals, Boss has the Harmonizer. What do people use and why? What do they like and what don't they like?
