Overdrive and Boost in one pedal.

I know there's 4 -6? different Fulltones, prolly the Mosfet? tell me yeah, nea, or which models best...
I hear the D on the CAE is a little weak....
Carl Martin "Hot Drive and Boost", are there other models?
any other brands?
Please, no $500 pedals, lookin to grab used for max $150, or what I get for my Tube Driver...You can see the amps I'll be using it with in my sig... :rock:

Just want the most bang fo the buck, I keep stuff a long time....
 
as far as OD and boost in the same pedal, Paul Cochrane's Tim pedal is bar none my favorite.

its not $500 but if you're wanting a good OD and boost in the same pedal you may have to up your budget just a bit to squeeze one. But they are well worth it, psychodave uses one here on the forum too, thats how i heard about them.

how about xotic and barber???they make great OD's as well
 
Menatone used to have some great OD + boosts. The nice thing about those was that the OD and boost were independent. With the Fulltone, the OD has to be engaged for the boost to come on. At least it was like that on my FD-2.

Majik box Rocket Fuel...I just got it...alot of sounds in that box....
 
Tone Freak Effects- Naked O.D. or for a touch more modern the Abunai 2- Both are super stellar, but I really like the NAked

Plus one on the Tim. I have the Timmy, which just doesn't have the boost/loop.

The HBE plank cranker fits the bill too. You can try to find a used one or a get an HBE power screamer...

The Naked OD ( I also have) Is great...I love it with marshalls....
 
I thought the Suhr koko boost was the new go to boost pedal?
 
Ive got the Kokoboost...Love it.. Really loved it with my PT100 using midboost for leads..not finding it as 'magical' with my Friedman tho. Just ordered the Creation Audio MK 4.23...looking forward to putting this in the loop and boosting my leads.
 
I have the Carl Martin. Its a pretty good pedal, even the OD section sounds like a clean boost to me.

The Rocket Fuel is on another level, killer pedal for sure.
