It sounds okay but the vocals sound like they're completely overdubbed in the studio. Kind of weird. The solo sounded pretty good!

That does sound weird! I agree sounds like at least Don's are overdubbed in the studio. You can tell it doesn't quite sync up to the video for his parts in places. George sounds pretty awesome though!

Yeah plus having heard some iPhone clippage of Don over the last couple years, he definitely doesn't sound that consistent through a song! LOL!

Vocals are weird. George’s tone sucks. Soft and woofy with no bite.

I noticed that when I first saw it. I've seen recent vids of their shows and he sings in a low register almost constantly.

I’d go further and suggest it was all live in the studio
Much like Beast From the East
Not that I care -BFtE is awesome nonetheless

Beast from the East live in the studio?

Well apart from the fact Don is lip-syncing the whole thing to a horrible vocal track... it sounds/feels like the whole band took a bunch lithium before hitting the stage. No thanks... I’ll stick to the original... in my dreams.

 :aww:

Poor man… He’s lost his voice
Love George… I always have, Always will…

Wow, drives me nuts how the second verse slows down.
Kills me how George always pretends to sing.
Pilson and Brown are solid.

Why would anyone go see this live?

Don looks to have suffered the most from the years of "road-wear"... which says a lot when you have Mick Brown in your band. I love Dokken... but think I'd like to remember them when they were at their best. And for new stuff, I'll listen to GL and his new projects.

Come on guys, with the heavy dubbing this is actually pretty listenable! Yeah, the actual raw live clips have been pretty bad when it comes to Don's vocals in particular, but I'll take this video as better than expected by far. Definitely a purchase...I'm not remotely kidding myself that I'd be interested in anything modern these guys are doing, I'd rather take the nostalgia trip with full awareness we're not talking anywhere near old 80's prime glory.

I was gong to watch, but there was a 1 minute ad that you had to wait through and I bailed. so irritating!!

id guess hes lip singing to a poorly mixed autotuned backing track :dunno:

No backing tracks were used live. The audio was mostly redone in the studio. Here is the same song/show shot on a cell phone. It’s fairly decent quality.

It really pisses me off when bands market something as live but re-record most of it in the studio. It’s a form of false advertising if you ask me. Use the terms “live footage”, or something along those lines. Or just don’t release anything at all if you’re not ok with how you sounded the first time.
