could try the gibson garage in nashville...but good luck dealing with those turdnuggets of humans

I mean someone always buys one out of curiosity and decides to sell (me, most of the time). Just wondering how crazy the resell market will be in those 200 units. Can’t be too crazy cause then you’d be on OG ++ territory

so after 3 days of thinking i'm good I contact AMS to ask when it will ship. They tell me it won't. They took too many orders. I am beyond fucking livid right now

They hosed me too. Initially, they listed 2 in stock and I "bought" one, refreshed and the stock went down to one.
A little later I hit refresh again to see if the the other had sold and the stock was now 3.
That was fishy and then my CC card charge was listed as pending for the past few days and then disappeared tonight.

I must have got one of the last orders around from Musicians Friend late yesterday evening but I verified with MF that I got one and it will be here Monday!

As a lifelong Hetfield/Metallica fan, I have a feeling this is going to put a smile on my face. Especially with my Gibson Explorer Custom.

You know, I've never played a C+ or any of the earlier Marks, but I always keep my presence on my IV at about 2.5 or 3. This is for bedroom playing though. Playing live, you might want it up higher to cut through. Master 1 at 10 seems odd -- I would never do that with my IV.
Only 2.5 or 3? My Mark IV sounds REALLY dark with settings like that. I need the presence up around 7 or 8 to get the kinda brightness I like outta my amp.

I don't know if it's because of pickup or guitar wood differences? Or maybe even speakers? Could be that's just where you need it with your other variables.

Man, I still think the two channel chrome chassis Rectifier and the Mark series metal grill cabs are the coolest and most metal looking stack ever!!!
By the way, this picture represents the famous "wall of doom" better than most anything else!!!!
Agreed, and if you're playing thrash or death metal Dual Rectifiers sound way more brutal through EVM12L's then they do through V30's.

Possibly, but the guitar I use most with that amp has a Duncan distortion which is fairly bright. I only use cabs with V30's as well.

That's probably because those EVM's have this 2k spike in them that really dominates their sound, that's about where all the pick attack is. V30's are more balanced sounding IMO.
