Lets get past SH is the front man, and the (arguably) over-synth'd, (arguably) high on effects guitar tracks... and just turn it up loud and listen to the chops. Go to 10:52..., and 22:30... my God man.

Maybe its the EVH fanboy in me... or it could be the job has me by the sac ATM and my field of fucks are barren... :dunno: but i'm digging this album today.

Hell ya. I fn love this album.
Sucka in a 3 piece? Damn right.... :D

Yeah Black And Blue etc........Ed always plays cool inventive stellar shit period!

Ed & Sammy made some great tracks together no doubt..........they will tour(perhaps record) again!

I know I'm probably in the minority but I like Sammy era better than Dave. Sammy is a way better, singer, frontman and all around cooler dude. OU812 and F.U.C.K are killer albums front to back.Eddie was in top form creatively in those years also. Balance wasn't bad either. Flame on...

No arguments here. F.U.C.K. is my favorite VH album. Eddie was just on fire.

I also think Hagar is a far better singer than Roth. I like both eras but I prefer the Hagar era songwriting. When the F.U.C.K. album came out it kicked my ass, and still does. That SLO....

Love this album. Love the tones love the tunes.

Yeah I am pretty Ying / Yang when it comes to VH.
Love both the singers with the band. 2 totally different styles.
But the title track of "5150" is probably my favorite VH tune ever.
Just so damn good. But that is not looking at it from a 'guitar' point of view though. (even though it has a RIPPING SOLO) ;)

+1
The "Live Without a Net " version is soooooo fucking awesome!!

OU812 is great...that being said, Hagar will never be in that band ever again...which is great also...

I'll make the argument that the song "5150" is the best thing that EVH has ever done...

Minority ... Maybe, but for sure not alone. I love VanHagar! Some of my favorite songs ever!

Another vote for the VanHagar era! Sammy is one of my favorite singers of all time. I also love the excessive use of pitch shifting, long live the 80's!
