Very cool Skoora. My son is huge on DCI and marching band stuff but both of us are less enthusiastic about the switch to three valve instruments in more recent times, though it does make a lot of sense considering school budgets and familiarity for the students playing in other band/orchestra settings.
This would have way more impact with the two valve bugle series of instruments that were mostly a product of the legendary Zig Kanstul. We are talking half stack volume levels, 130dB+, with a pair of buzzing lips through a King K20. Sections were known to shatter box office windows at stadiums. We are talking about actual weapons of war here.
