Sold my decimator. I wasn't selling it but I got an offer for $90 local for my gstring over CL. I said no to his offer but offered the guy an original decimator for $90 and he said thats what he really wanted in the first place..lol
Any of you have this new version and how does it compare to the older version?

I got mine last week and i love it. I had feedback problems with my 5150 for years when i played short staccato notes. I use blackouts and a OD808 as a clean boost with my amp which induce too much gain overall. So i can tell you that no other combination of noise gate made my amp quiet until now. Must specified that i do not use any noise gate in the loop because i found that it sucks all the dynamics of the amp.

The original decimator is good but can't tame my setup with all the crazy gain involve, couldn't find a balance between cutting the feedback trail and not cutting my sustain. But the new Decimator II WORKS big time man! For all 5150 + boost + Actives pups users, this is your savior!!! Just a dude that found out the hard way by spending alot of money on every noise gate on the market to quiet my amp. The new one is more aggressive or i should say faster in response without cutting your sustain and dynamics.

All i can tell you is that i'm very happy that i bought that pedal and i'm sure you will too.

it is suppose to link 2 pedals so you can use them like a PRG..
I don't really get the point of the linking? you could alway run one decimator up front and another in the loop...

The linking allows both gates to track the input signal .

Thanks for the feedback. I'm in the market for a noise gate and posts like yours and many similar posts led me to the Decimator II.

Has anyone compared the g-string vs g-string II? If so, is the newer model significantly better?
