Signal was routed into the amp's FX Return, then recorded through the cab in the same position and with the same power amp settings used on the recording.

I must be missing what impulses are being used.

I don't think he used impulses to record, from what i understand it seems he just created impulses of the setup he was using afterwards. I think he just reamped normally and miced the cabs.

Did you use the Axe Fx II at all on the cd or were all guitars reamped through the Fortin? I really dig your Axe Fx clips and use a couple of your presets daily.
