I still have quite a few of GPFTPM magazines. it is nostalgic to look back through those magazines. they represented an awesome time in music.
I agree . Rick and metal meant do so much to lives

I have all the guitar world/player/others from the late 80s till 2010 or so, I need to find a piece of furniture where I can organize them in my living room somehow so I can read them whenever, I have them in stacks of boxes taking up half my closet

Hell ya ! I have the complete set . Lots of tab book . I’m about to the same . I’ll some at Lowe’s that might work for us

I’m pretty sure that Holdsworth was the only “endorser” who actually played any of the amps they are seen with here. He was a Huge boogie guy for a while.

I love these old ads. I remember quite a few, but some are surprising.

How many dumb ass kids bought that Karvin krap because Reb had his pic with the rack junk

He used Kitty Hawk amps for a brief period, I remember seeing those ads and then there's the VERY hard to find Bogner ecstasy ad that had a picture of the Bogner ecstasy and said "From the Beatles to Slayer"

Boogie and Jackson didn’t need to pay the endorsers, as a matter of fact when Keith Richards ordered a bunch of amps from Boogie, he was told that he would actually have to pay for them, which she did. When Jackson Guitars came out, everyone including me, wanted one, so there was no reason to endorse it with paid performers.

With Jackson they didnt pay you but you did the guitars for free. Custom shop guitars at that!! This was quite some time ago and I believe it was before Fender. I highly doubt they still do it.

The one cool thing with Mesa was that yes, you had to pay for the amp (with a discount) but if you wanted the amp modded in any way Mike B. would do it before you you even took delivery of the amp. This was back in 1992 so I'm sure that has changed by now.
