Us Tampa folk got a front row seat for the whole genre. Death, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Monstrosity, Atheist, I could go on..
Yep, we got to see so many before they were even signed.

Seeing Obituary when they were still Executioner, or Deicide when they were still Amon. The good ol days of Tampa death metal.

Human is my favorite album. Total masterpiece!

Yes ! The only problem is it's too short... I'd like more of it !! I was 17 when it came out. It totally changed my outlook on electric guitar and music in general.

A few months later that year ^^^ (October 1990) Death, Carcass, and Pestilence would play Fitzgerald's here in Houston and the show would turn into a riot. A kid got thrown into a mic stand which hit Chuck who was already not too happy about the rowdy crowd and then someone threw a beer that hit him and that was it, he walked-off and shit hit the fan.

I wouldn't fuck with Chuck. He was jacked.

Check out Gruesome.
Discovered them recently they are great.

"Formed by Exhumed guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey and ex-Malevolent Creation drummer Gus Rios, Gruesome came together after Harvey and Rios participated in the “Death to All” Death reunion tour in 2012."
