My epiphone Lp. Bought it in 2005. It was the first guitar that I bought for myself.

This isnt quite post worthy but I just started playing guitar 3 years ago. Played bass exclusively for the 4 year prior to that. With that disclaimer in mind:
Bass - Schecter C4 (2006)

What's the oldest piece of gear you currently own that was bought by you or to you.

In my case, my MIA Strat. bought it in NYC Spring of '97 at Sam Ash.

the one I'm playing here, sorry no pics of it right now.

One of the few songs I can still enjoy from that album. :D
(do to being overplayed)

Good job Joey!!! Playing, singing, and performance.

Mesa/Boogie half back cabinet, bought new in 89 or 90 at ALM in Norfolk when Eddie Berman worked there.

Ibanez rg 560 1989. Still sees regular use. Has been through a refret though. To me, the original Ibanez Edge is the king of all locking trems btw. 21 years and it still holds perfect tune. When I pick up locking trem guitars now (including ibanez), the trem always looks/feels cheap in comparison.

Arbor white flying V I bought with a summer job in 1983. I still have it. I also have a Marshall LEAD 12 from 1984. I got that for xmas of 84. I still play that little Marshall today.

Either my Hamer Archtop Studio circa 1996, or my Antonio Sanchez flamenco from '91ish.

But for some historical kicks, I had this POS Traynor when I was a kid... TS-15 I think it was, which was a solid state 2 driver combo that seriously sucked ass when cranked, but overall, wasn't too bad considering. Anyway, I had this when I was, I dunno, probably about 10 or 12 years old (this is 30 years ago if you wanna do the math!!). It never occured to me where the hell it ended up, but about a year ago, a buddy of mine sent an iPhone shot of this TS-15 under his study desk. Said I gave it to him back in the 90's and he had it to this day - used his MIDI keyboard through it.

Go figure :dunno:

Oldest piece of gear? It's not a guitar; it's a late 1969 - early 1970 Ludwig 14"x26" bass drum. For those that care, it's a 3-ply maple shell that was spec'd out just like John Henry Bonham's green sparkle bd. It's factory original all the way down to the heads  Oldest guitar oriented piece is my 1980 Aria Pro II LPC...

Oldest piece of gear i own is a 1967 gretsch chet atkins country gentleman guitar in a natural finish

I did own a original 64' strat for years but sold it. I would say its probably my 1969 sunburst strat and echoplex from early 70's.

Thank you so much man!

Oldest piece of gear I have is an Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress flanger. Bought it in '80/'81 from this seedy electronics/pawn shop in NJ at a place called the Pennsauken Mart. The next oldest piece is a Mesa Thiele cab w/EV12L purchased from LAB Sound in Hollywood CA in '89. My oldest guitar is a Jackson Shannon Soloist in Blue Ghost Flame. Got it from Mars Music here in Charlotte in '98.

Oldest would be a Charvel mutt purchased used in 1984, followed by a Charvel model 2 purchased new in 1986. Also have a hand-me-down blackface Deluxe Reverb that my dad bought new in the 60's.

1980 Gibson Victory Bass

looks like this but road worn.

My 1979 LP Silverburst. My grandmother bought it for me when I was 17 (it was used at the time). I don't play it out as much nowadays because I am afraid something will happen to it. It is still my favorite guitar and it holds sentimental value because my grandma bought it for me.

Soon after I got it:

81 JMP, I believe I bought it in 82 but could have been early 83.

Actually, I still have the TC distortion/OD pedal I bought, probably 81.

Here's the JMP.

Purchased new, its my 1993 MIM Fender Strat.

Purchased used, its my 1960 Fender Brown Super
Inherited used, its my mid 1940's Masco MA-50 PA amp, that was converted to a guitar amp. :)
