So I got a call from my brother in law….

DUDE!!! They have a BLS Zakk Wylde guitar used at GC in Kalamazoo!!! Will you go check it out for me?

So I did. It’s was very nice. The original owner did play it but it’s still in very good condition.

He ended up buying it and I picked it up for him, since he lives 3 hours away….took it home for a complete cleaning, fretboard conditioning, setup and new strings.

The only thing with it was that it had a little bit of fret wear. Not bad though. It still has the plastic on the back plates.

The truss rod needed to be tightened. The fretboard was filthy. Frets were tarnished. Tuners were finger loose. The jack was loose as well as the toggle. It needed some serious TLC.

Good news is that it sets up great. Plays great and sounds great!!! My brother in law will be very happy!!!!

I got the same one with bullseye finish on long term loan from a good friend. It's a great guitar ! Very easy to play.

I had a Warhammer on my bench last year. Solid, well made guitar (of course, it's a Schecter), but the thing was massive and the neck was huge, thick and wide. Definitely bigger than I could get along with, and I'm pretty flexible with neck size.

Damn that is one hideous boat anchor guitar. The BLS logo on the front makes it worse. Maybe if it were a cool color or something but just black with their logo makes it look cheaper and goofier than it already does.

I guess they're not for everyone. I find the Odin shape (the one above) totally alright for my own taste.

They shoulda gone with a bc rich ish headstock that one looks weirdly plain on there
