Brings back memories. I saw them on the US tour for that album at The Stone in San Francisco. By far the loudest show I've ever been too. Just such an insane decibel level that I was looking around like, "Is it really supposed to be THIS loud?!?!?.  The live album that came from that tour was called, coincidentally enough, "Live Extreme Volume".

Am I the only one who just loves Paul Gilbert's old 80's shred tone?

wheni want my chops in shape i work on scarified....it really is a great picking workout

Awesome got to love Racer X, i"m still digging Mr Big's new album.

I personally liked thier tones on 2nd heat the most..it seems, like, for that matter(a lot of the shredder/guitar gods) which I love thier stuff to death, tend to have this nasally,mid/funny,un-organic guitar tones...but 2nd heat was so raw/urgent/, full of tone to me......I think there was a thread way back on "why do so many shredders have generic guitar tones?"........well,I can think of quite a few that are slamming w/ great tone these days too....
