I'm thinking about getting the original Koko. I have the space on my board. I play Splawn amps and a BFG modded marshall. GNR to AIC.

Can you engage both the clean boost and the mid boost at the same time on the original Koko?

I'm all over the stage when jammin' so the one pedal for both functions kind of puts me off.

Unfortunately no you cannot.

But that mid Boost is quite amazing IMO.

Sounds great in that vid...amp does too, or is the amp set for clean (don't think so..)?
No there's a slight breakup on the dry tone, then the pedal takes it up to higher gain

do these pedals low cut like ts pedals?
No it's not a overdrive or distortion pedal like the ts, it's a transparent clean boost, no bass loss whatsoever

IIRC, when you engage the mid boost you ARE also engaging the normal boost. The mid knob just controls how much of that mid-character to blend in. It's more like a boost with an adjustable, switchable mid hump.

From the User Manual:
CONTROLS

Boost: Adjusts the overall output of the boost circuit. The Boost control offers 0dB
(unity gain) to +20dB of gain. Turning this control to higher settings will efficiently push the front-end of your amplifier and create a broad range of natural overdriven tones.

Mid: Adjusts the output of the selected Mid frequency (via the Freq switch) that is added to the clean boosted signal.

FWIW, I just got a Mobius and tested the buffer in it vs. true-bypass (it is selectable) and could def hear a loss of dynamics with buffer ON. Then I unplugged from the Mobius and plugged into the Koko (with buffer ON) and imo was noticeably better. Pretty much transparent although I still think I heard the slightest drop in dynamics.
