is one of the best albums of all time.

So fucking awesome. It's one of the few things that makes me want to quit music forever, because I can never beat it, ever. It'll never happen.

I'm watching Operation:LIVEcrime on VHS (I have the remastered DVD too) for the 2nd time in a row.

My parents were at that show in Madison, WI that was filmed for the box set, mum pregnant with me. The set came out like 10 days after my birthday if I remember right.

I've bought it like 10 times, haha. The original Vinyl version from 1988, an early CD version, the original VHS/CD LIVEcrime set, the remastered CD, the DVD release, and the newer Live At The Moore Theater version where they played MIndcrime I and II. Awesome.

I want one of those leather jackets with the Mindcrime logo on the back, ala Geoff Tate during the '91 Building Empires tour. They're expensive though.

Modern day The Wall. Saw the concert twice back in the day. Amazing all the way around.

One of the best albums/tours of all time. We traveled to 4 different cities to see it multiple times. Amazing show, every time
I still listen to that regularly.
I do think that Rage for Order is right up there with it, when it came out, I'd never heard anything like it, then saw them perform it flawlessly live and it changed everything for me

This is in my top 5 best albums EVER! I wore the fuck out of this one. Saw the Mindcrime tour and it was one of the best live performances I have ever seen, even to this day.

Nice choice Casey.

I wore the cassette out, HAHA I said Cassette wow old   Now I have it on my iPhone and still listen to it once in a while.

This got me curious... Just bought the album on iTunes. Sounds good from the previews. Must remember to listen to it now...

Amazing album for sure. I used to watch Livecrime constantly when it first came out...

One of the best things to ever come out of the 80's.

It's like musical crack. You will keep coming back for more. If you don't.....then your ears are broke. :D

I agree, especially the transitional pieces between songs that tied it all together into a contiguous audible experience. I was doing a lot of traveling back then, driving across the country, my walkman and operation mind crime on cassette, singing along to Tate, or trying to, man that guy had some pipes!

I tried to sing most of the album last night. What an embarrassment! When I was younger, I could sing that high. Not well by any means, but I could find the pitch. Now that I've had throat problems for a while, I just can do it

I want to play the whole album live someday  I call DeGarmo's parts.

One of my favorite albums. The Livecrime tour was amazing. Had tickets to see the more recent tour where they did Mindcrime I & II back-to-back but unfortunately the date was cancelled.

I saw the recent tour, it was great to see them again, but without Degarmo, its not the same
Chris Degarmo IS Queensryche
He's a pilot now :D

I was having this conversation the other night. O:M is a great album and still holds up to this very day. Awesome song writing and production mixed with a killer concept. No one has done anything as good like it since.

Saw them when they opened for Metallica (AJFA) and when they came back 6 months later on their headlining tour for Empire. They played the entire O:M Cd and it was killer. Saw them a few years ago when they did the same thing and it was not near as good with no DeGarmo.

I agree great album. I just hate that the remastered version I have has clipping on it. I hate clipping....
