Anyone used one of these?
I sold my rack and I was looking at putting a pedal board together, however an all in one for my lesser used effects I feel would be a great choice for me.

Seems like it like it'd cover a lot of pedals and they can be had under $500 all day long.

* Compression
* EQ + Noise Gate
* Modulation
* Pitch
* Delay
* Reverb

Also has a tuner and boost which I probably wouldn't use (would keep my TS808 and Pitchblack for that).

So yeah any of you used them before?
From others I've talked to the quality both in build and tone are great, but you can never get too much input before making a purchase IMO.

Thanks in advance. :thumbsup:

I've had mine for two months or so now, and have been very pleased with it. The effects are top notch, and the sound quality is what you would expect from T.C. I replaced my rack and a few pedals with it. Have not looked back.

Good to hear, what were you using in your rack previously to get the same effects before switching?

I was using a T.C. G-Major and a Lexicon MX200.

How does it compare in your opinion?

Also are you using that expression pedal with the nova?
I know u can use either an expression or g switch (which I already have)

I use the Nova System with a G-Switch and it makes it very versatile. I only need the three presets for gigging (clean, crunch, solo) and I have access to turning on/off all the effects on each patch.
The Nova replaced a big pedalboard with at least 10 pedals and I like the Nova's analog distortion. I use it mainly with a Marshall Bluesbreaker 2x12 combo set for a nice clean tone....the Nova System does everything else.

Have me a great sounding compact rig. :rock:

I use the expression pedal with the unit.

I think that the effects are cleaner on the Nova System than on either of the units that I replaced. That's not to say that they didn't sound good, just that the nova seems to blend better with my setup. I get less coloration from the unit. I get the effect that I want an nother else. The vibe is probably my favorite effect in the unit, but I use the delays more than anything. They sound great.

I have been using TC products for some time. I used to have a Nova delay which was pretty good. I ended up getting a Maxon AD999. I still have a dual distortion pedal which I think is incredible. Unfortunately they don't make it any more. Fortunately I got it while they were blowing them out for $99. TC makes some great products.

I haven't used the Nova System yet, but I want to get one. A friend of mine has the G-Major and that thing is freaking awesome. It really sounds good in his rig which surprises me because it doesn't sound digital or processed like other units. It sounds pretty natural the way he has it blending in through his FX loop.

For the price, it sounds like a pretty good deal.

where are you guys using the nova, in the loop or up front? I wish it was able to do both like the Gsystem. Also, if you are using it up front how do the delays and reverbs sound?

I have it for 4 weeks now. I replaced some very good effects (like T-Rex delays). The sound quality is outstanding. The drawbacks are that it can not be connected in the 4-cable method, which means for me that I cannot use the distortion cause I run it in my amps loop. And I found it quite tricky to find the right input levels. If you don't set it up correctly it sucks quite some sound (but I guess that holds for most units). Nevertheless for this price its absolutely great.

I use mine in the loop. My triamp give me all of the gain stages that I need. I have a TS9 on the board for anything that needs to go over the top.

Awesome!
I am pumped at the responses I'm getting here.

Looks like I've found my next purchase. :D

I'd be running it in the loop of my RM50, which would be better do you guys think the series or paralell loop?

Haha I'm so used to the worthless search on HC I didn't even think about it. :lol: :LOL:

I've been looking at this unit too. Does anyone know if is this set for line (+4db) or instrument (-20db) levels?

I'd be all over this if it had a relay to switch amp channels (like the gmajor) and the ability to route drives to front of amp and delays, etc to fx loop.

Line if you used the loop option. Instrument if you used the drive input infrom of an amp.

If I may piggyback a question here for the Nova System owners...

The Nova Drive has a feature that allows you run the OD and Distortion in to each other or in parallel. Does the Nova System have that too?

This. :thumbsup:

Maybe the next version will do that.
