I'm interested in picking up a new overdrive pedal and have heard good things about the Klon KTR. Watched several demos on YouTube and intrigued by what I've heard. Anybody here own one, if so what are your thoughts on it?

I used to own one. It was very good but I preferred some of my other pedals to it, and I got to AB it once with an original Klon and me and my friend both agreed the original was noticeably better. It was more organic, less stiff and just better. Obviously not worth the price though

The Airis Savage, Thorpy Gunshot, and Jetter Gold are my favorites. I recently ordered a bunch more pedals by Airis but haven't gotten to try them yet, but maybe they'll make me sell some of my other pedals since I'm so impressed with his Savage pedal.

It sounds like a very punchy Tubescreamer.
I had a silver Klon for about 8 years.
As always its entirely dependent on your amp.
It's a lousy drive pedal into a clean amp unless your amp is very mid scooped as the Klon has heaps of midrange with the gain up.
It's a killer boost into a dirty amp though.

Found the Rockett Archer and Jetter Gold locally on Craigslist, going to go check them out this weekend. Intrigued by the Thorpy Gunshot as well, need to track one down to test drive it.
