I like relics...but light relics. This way I don’t have to worry about dings and bumps.

It's funny you say that because I did consider just a light bit of relic around the edges. I saw a guitar on the site with that done and looked pretty cool. It is so hard to make choices when there are a lot of choices available....LOL
Lol, been there. It's overload at times. I went knowing exactly what I wanted and changed it numerous times. Only to finally settle on exactly what I originally wanted from the beginning.

Nut width - what do you have that you love currently? Go with that width.
Neck - same, what do you have that you love, explain that to Curt and he'll point you in the right direction.
Radius - I don't like compound radius so that was settled for me.

Relic? Same here, went back and forth. I figured it this way, if I went with something wood based i.e. maple top or transparent color I wouldn't relic. But since I decided to go stripped down, like I had wanted from the beginning I went with the light rode hard look. The look that settled it for me was guitar #71.

I don't know maybe that will help.

EDIT - looks like you ordered, good luck. Can't wait to get mine.

Thanks man! Well as you know, ordered doesn't mean anything. LOL! I know I'll like whatever I get but I did tell Curt I'm a Charvel dude (which he knows already). I'll dig anything but looked at some of the other guitars on the site and followed that mindset and want to be in the Charvel San Dimas mindset. Every guitar on that site kicks ass and would be happy with any of those suckers.

I absolutely love these simple, oil-finish guitars. So ‘purpose oriented.’

I agree those are really nice. Being an 80's hair metal dude that put on eyeliner before school at one point, everything is over the top. :D :D :D

To be honest, I'm surprised I didn't tell Curt hot pink with a built-in smoke machine and condom dispenser.....

Trust me, I dig the cool finishes and graphics as much as the next guy! I remember when a few Jackson’s from Amir Derakh’s collection came available and I was tempted to snap them all up - money be damned!

I am also a product of the 80s and I remember how refreshing Nuno Bettencourt’s look was with the bare wood Warmoth partscaster. It’s all cool.

I believe that guitar became this one. I was at Chubtone last week and was told this was Al Estrada's DLR Tour Chubby.

I like that oil finish, I'd love to have them build me a Guthrie Govan model inspired guitar but no middle pickup. That rode hard cream one above makes me want to cry (my Chubtone is similar color but no relic).

Tie one end of rope to your car bumper and the other to your Chubtone. Drive around the block. You're welcome.

:D

I love relicing, the more trashed it is the better. Here are 2 that I did on partsocasters
