Living in an apartment doesn't afford me the luxury of cranking my plexi  My Ultimate Attenuator is still too loud and the Hot Plate just doesn't sound that good as low as I need to go. SOOOOO... MF had the Un-Leash for $382 with their 15% discount so I pulled the trigger! I actually heard one in the Surreal booth at the L.A. Amp Show and had been thinking about picking one up. I thought that was a good price! Kind of a cool versatile tool as well. I'd like to get a 1 watt Marshall head too to use with it

Awesome Darren! I've been curious about the Unleash.
Would love to hear your thoughts when you get it, especially if you get to try recording with the direct out

As for the Ultimate, is it that you can't get the tone you want at a low enough volume?

haha, no it just won't go low enough - especially with a 4 x 12. it sounds great as low as it gets, but it's still just a bit too loud. There was a bedroom switch option, which I didn't get. Maybe I should have lol

Have you tried Aracom Attenuator? I have one and it's really transparent. I have used is at very very low volumes in my apartment and it sound fantastic.
You may want to give it a try. :)

Cheers

I bought one to use the fx loop with a Cameron that I had..loop sounds great but because it's solid state you lose a bit of the tube tone when you use it..but for low volume playing it works great.

cancelled my order lol. Tried the Hot Plate again - turned the bright off and the deep on and kablamo! Sounds good at whisper volumes
