Obviously none of my business but a public forum so........

Buyer has every right to be pissed off. I'm sorry but that isn't a new amp. New is sealed in box from every single place I have ever ordered a new amp from. Weather they have to open and test then reseal. If there is even the SLIGHTEST ding it is now B- Stock from literally 90% of sellers.

With all due respect sir, by your logic you're saying any amp thats in a brick and mortar retail store is used? Any guitar hanging on a wall on display is used? Any time you buy a car in a dealer showroom thats not factory sealed, its used? We will just have to agree to disagree here man. The amp arrived to him in brand new condition, with full manufacture warranty, never played other than to test (as I explained, as mandated by ENGL). We also discounted it heavily for him, and he messaged us saying he loved the amp, he was just angry it arrived in different cardboard box. The amp itself was pristine which he admitted.

Look, if people only want things that are "factory sealed", that is their right. People can order from Musician's Friend or Guitar Center and never do business with any brick & mortar retail store who cares enough to inspect the products they ship to customers. However, all I can say is we have a ton of customers who appreciate that we do things this way. We can agree disagree.

And I was chill. You may notice this thread is 2-3 years old. Someone necro-bumped it today :)

Let's understand YOUR logic. You could have listed it honestly, as a demo, or B-stock, but you didn't. Yes, you ran a coupon code for 15% off for a BRAND NEW item, which it clearly was not. I don't care what you say.

In the real world, even MF would list an item with a damaged box as B-stock. If this is now your claim with the original box, (but, as I stated, your story changed multiple times), even a brand new item in non-original package, and the original contents that ships with a brand new item are missing, it's no longer brand new. That's the approach respectable sellers take. You, don't take that approach. You take the shady one.

I've bought B-stock, I've bought demos. Had both good and bad experiences, but at least the sellers made things clear.

Let's understand your other shady move. The very used amp you shipped me that I used for 2 weeks, and returned, you then re-listed as "brand new", and at full price of $1849, once you got it back. (15% higher than I paid for it). And, even though you pulled a fast one, I ate the shipping for the return. But, alas, Reverb allowed this B.S., I guess after you bent me over, they broke it off.

All I wanted was to pay fair market value for a used Fireball 100, since that's what it was. There were others in mint condition for $1100-$1200, but I wanted brand new, factory-sealed.

This is the last time I'm responding to you. Again, we shipped you a brand new amp. It was not a b-stock, or a demo. It was brand new, we just had to use an alternate cardboard box. If your take is that because its our policy to inspect the products we ship out prior to shipping, and therefore THAT makes it used... then you're psychotic. Let me remind you Sweetwater boasts about their "55 point inspection" which means they open up and inspect everything before it ships. By your logic, that means everything Sweetwater sells is used. So enough dude, you weren't wronged, you weren't misled. You're just a miserable person who thrives on random hostility and conflict.

And BTW, We get in 15-20 Fireballs a year, and often have multiples at any given time. You have no freaking clue what we sold your returned (brand new) amp for. Anyways we're done here. I refunded you years ago for this, move on.

I don't mind things inspected, one bit. But, when it doesn't get put back in it's box, arrives in non-factory packaging, is missing the chord, manual, spare tubes, etc., it raises eyebrows.

Here's your original message after I bought it:
We don't have anything 'factory sealed', as ENGL forces all dealers to test the amps when they come in, otherwise if there's a problem with the amp they won't take it back. But yes it's brand new and will ship in ENGL boxed resealed, and has only been tested by me. Sounds great!"

Then, after getting it in a Mesa box, packed poorly, and missing contents:
"my packer made a mistake using the engl box to ship another amp, and for that apologize".

So, question is, if it didn't go back in it's box after you tested it, it obviously went out on your sales floor, and became a demo. You claimed you had it 3 weeks. So, your "box got damaged" excuse has no merit. Also, your claim above "I never said Engl wouldn't warranty a sealed box" is also a crock.

All this from a dude reselling used pedals "as new"...

Any clearly noted used, used pricing, and never a complaint. Poke your stick elsewhere.

i bought a gibson LP raw power on reverb. the guy shipped it from the UK using only bubble wrap around the hardshell case, and NO BOX!!!
Oh man! I have received TWO guitars shipped in just the case. A RR24LTD (only 75 made worldwide) and my Prestige RGD 7 string. I was livid!

The funny thing is my experience with Napalm is he changes his story as much as he accuses Axe Palace of doing. His story changed every single time with me and when I called him out on the timeline he apparently just "mis-remembered" lol. He had like 10 posts in a row where he either flat out lied or grossly exaggerated everything that happened trying to make me look bad or wrong. When I called him out on each point he kept just bringing up something else and saying he never lies, yeah I'm sure.

He also wouldn't stop saying I "crossed a line" when I insulted him, even though he insulted me TWICE first. The only thing I called him was shady at first because his story changed every time I talked to him. I got several messages after that from people warning me that he is a drama queen and crazy, which I think they were right. Oh and for someone that says you should "stop crying" you cry more than any adult I've seen. This is I think the 3rd thread I've seen since my run in with him that he is complaining about sellers. Something is wrong with this guys head for sure.

There was no story to change, nothing to lie about. I sold an amp to another member before you got back to me. Pretty cut and dry. You should have pulled the trigger on it weeks prior, when you began kicking the tires.

And, I have problems? You're still whining about missing out on an amp, and fail to realize this thread was 2 years ago. You're also stretching the truth about the insults. After I told you it was sold, you called me a jerk, told me I was shady, and made other derogatory comments. Nothing I did was shady. I didn't know you from Adam, and the member that bought it from me, also purchased a Gibson Explorer from me. For all I knew, I wasn't going to hear back from you. It happens, more times than I care to discuss. Get over it.

It's still considered brand new. Thousands of guitars and amps get sold off the sales floor in hundreds of stores even though they were played by other potential customers. That's just the way it is. And I can personally attest to how convoluted manufacturers are with their returns. If a guitar is in our warehouse for a couple months, and we pack it out, certain manufacturers won't take it back since we've had it for several months even though it's brand new.

Either you have the worst luck or something's a little off balance with your mental state. Either way, don't you think everyone here is tired of hearing your bitching about your constant deals gone south?
